Specs according to LGs annoucements

Many blogs are already writing about the 72LZ9700 and some of the specifications and features of the worlds largest LED HDTV already leaked to the public and were verified on the offical blog. So far, the following is known:

• 72-Inch LCD display with a full array of LED backlights
• Micro Pixel Control also known as local dimming
• Active 3D technology with shutter glasses
• 480Hz refresh rate with LGs TruMotion technology
• Smart TV content and applications
• Magic Motion Remote
• Smart Share technology with DLNA, USB, etc.

LG LZ9700 first news from the CES

At this year CES show in Las Vegas, LG Electronics was good for a real sensation. While some other manufacturers presented their new and improved HDTVs, LG announced nothing less than the worlds largest full LED backlit HDTV ever released.

According to the documents submitted by LG, the model number will be 72LZ9700. The screen size is an impressive 72-Inches, certainly enough even for the biggest living room. So far there are loads of rumers about the price, but since LG didn’t announce anything officially, we won’t feed the speculations and wait for the final release.

The 72LZ9700 also comes with a remote that is a small sensation itself, the so called Magic Mation Remote. It is powered by Hillcrest Labs Freespace technology and pretty much works like a Wii controller, allowing screen navigation by motion gestures. Imagine changing channels with just a flick of the wrist!
